Share your project

What's your weird problem?

Every member of this community starts here — by sharing the specific, personal thing they built with AI to solve a problem that nobody was going to solve for them.

No pitching. No polish required. The messier and more specific, the better.

We review every submission before it goes live — not to filter for quality, but to make sure it fits the spirit of what this community is for.

Why we use this structure

The form follows the Alexandrian pattern — a way of documenting solutions developed by architect Christopher Alexander in A Pattern Language. It asks not just what you built, but the situation that made it necessary, the forces that shaped it, and what changed as a result.

We use it because it produces something richer than a project description. It makes the problem as visible as the solution — which is what this community is really here to document.

01
ContextThe situation you were in. Who you are, where you are, what your world looks like.
02
ForcesThe constraints and pressures that made this hard. Why no existing solution worked.
03
SolutionWhat you built, how you built it, what tools you used. Keep it concrete.
04
Resulting contextWhat changed. What worked, what didn't, what surprised you.
Be specific. "A tool to help with work" is not interesting. "A tool that tracks which of my 12 goats is off their feed" is.
Any language, anywhere. We especially want submissions from contexts underrepresented in tech.
Don't pitch it. If your goal is users or investment, this isn't the right place.

Tell us about it

Fill in each section as fully as you can. Short answers are fine — just try to address what each section is asking.

01 Context

Who are you and what is your situation? Describe the world you were operating in — your role, your environment, the people around you. Help us see the setting.

02 Forces

What made this hard? What were the competing pressures, constraints, and needs? Why didn't existing tools or solutions work for your situation?

03 Solution

What did you build? How did you build it? What tools and AI did you use? Be as concrete as you can — the messy details are interesting.

04 Resulting context

What changed? What worked, what didn't, what surprised you? What new problems did it create or reveal? What would you do differently?

Screenshots, photos of your setup, a sketch of how it works. Not required, but often the most compelling part of a submission.
